We feel the same way when we reflect on the design of the BioTechUSA headquarters. This project marks a milestone in our company's life, not only because we have progressed along a shared vision since the first meeting, which has laid the foundation for a close, even friendly collaboration, but also because we managed the entire project from design to execution.
The office building in Óbuda, designed by Karakter Architects, was ahead of its time. Our client wanted to create a place in 2017, modeled after Western examples, where people genuinely enjoy coming to work. It was important to the client that the internal motivation of the company was reflected in the office environment.
The external concrete cladding is also telltale, suggesting strength and solidity. Its unique appearance is truly enhanced by the rhythmic arrangement of the slats. The slats shade the southern and southwestern façade, saving significant amounts of cooling energy. The office's heating and cooling are supplied by renewable energy sources, and its energy rating is nearly zero.
We enter the office building through the country’s largest glass sliding door, leading to a full-height atrium that creates a unified atmosphere by merging the communal spaces. The new office building is a combination of architecture and ecology. We aimed to incorporate a piece of the natural world into the building. The large central atrium is filled with trees and plants, while the hallways are adorned with wooden flooring, making the space even closer to nature, aimed at providing a bright, open, and inspiring environment for those who work here.
The client wanted as many natural colors as possible, which we achieved not only through the incorporation of hanging gardens but also by softening the space with longer, green carpets. The atrium offers further advantages, as the glass windows allow people working here to see each other, thus enhancing a sense of community. The company’s multicultural, modern infrastructure is paired with a welcoming, familial atmosphere, symbolized by the fact that the glass-walled executive offices face inward and are always open to colleagues.

And the windows have more than one advantage; the entire building is filled with light, and combined with the plants, it truly feels like we are working in nature.

The construction of the office building began at the end of 2017 on the same plot that once housed a small family business with only a few employees. By 2020, a building capable of accommodating 500 people and measuring 3297 m² stood in the old front garden. In designing the office building, our client kept in mind the needs of the employees. We created a dining room, a conference room, meeting rooms, recreational areas, and communal spaces within the building. Meeting rooms on every floor provide opportunities for creative retreats, and the walls of the offices are flexible and movable, depending on how departments expand.
The primary goal during the real estate development of the Huszti úti building was to create an internal world that thinks in large scales and successes but is still capable of inspiring the creativity and development of the BioTechUSA family as a second home through open architectural solutions.

"_seopress_social_twitter_img_attachment_id":0
[29
post-807","portfolio","type-portfolio","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","portfolio-kategoria-epiteszet
["GET
